Nearly 25,000 homes in southeastern Queensland found themselves experiencing outages on Monday morning after powerful weather events passed over the state, producing powerful gusts reaching 109km/h.

Homeowners reported large ice chunks reaching sizes of 7 centimeters in particular locations. Weather authorities confirmed that different parts across Queensland had been affected by large hailstones.
